C'mon Aussie C'mon C'mon, C'mon Aussie C'mon!

For about a week and I had the catchy little jingle displayed in the title running through my head. This was due to the relentless Australia Day advertisements urging people to go out and celebrate. And so we did, and in true Lacey fashion it was in an overly enthusiastic manner. Cassi and I purchased cheesy Australia memorabilia from our local discount store. I think that the temporary tattoos were my best purchase.

Every person that celebrated with me ended up being inked by me before the night was over. Here is Louise succumbing to my tempting tattoos.

After a round of tattoos, we all prepared for a rousing game of cricket. And everyone knows that it is essential to apply zinc to various parts of the face before beginning a game. Louise went all out with the bottom lip and the nose/under eyes.

James stuck to the bottom lip only, and I opted for the biore pore strip look.

And then there was Cassi who went charging into cricket battle, with under eye stripes and flags flying full salute.

And then we started the festivities. Here I am batting. As you can see we got creative and the stumps are made of milk cartons.

Even though it was a friendly game, Cassi and I really wanted to figure out how to win. the only problem was we did not have enough people and so we were just swapping positions. But I like to continue to think that I won regardless.

It was a day of fun in the sun and flying the Aussie colours.

Hey at least I can say I bleed red, white, and blue without really lying, It would just take some rearranging of stars and stripes to make it more accurate.
